In all, 1,095 votes were put into the ballot boxes during polling, which was conducted at various sites throughout the district earlier this month.
As a result, Emily McGowan, Elise McQuilliam, and Abigail Trime, of Clacton, will be joined by Stephen Wiggins, of Alresford, and Aime Pearce, of Lawford, to serve on the Young Essex Assembly.
Four of the them are pupils at St Benedicts School, Colchester, while Aime goes to Manningtree High School.
