Last year people living in Court 17, Blake Road, on the Templars Estate, decided to take action after youths damaged property while playing football on the grass area in their court during unsociable hours.
After raising matters at a Templars Community Association meeting with Braintree Council, it was agreed to plant shrub beds on the grassy area and instead allow the youths to play on the nearby communal grass area.
During the past year the estate residents and Braintree Council have worked in partnership to tidy up the estate and improve living conditions.
