Colchester United will be aiming to turn back the clock almost half a century when they are Coventry City's FA Cup fourth-round opponents at Highfield Road.
U's central defender and Layer Road favourite Alan White
It was back on January 26, 1957, when the U's recorded their one and only win over the Sky Blues on their own territory, player-manager Benny Fenton, Kent Plant, Eddie Smith and Peter Wright scoring in a 4-2 Division Three (South) win.
In ten other outings since their first Highfield Road clash in 1953, including a 3-0 Worthington Cup round-one defeat last season, Colchester have managed just three draws.
And boosted by Tuesday night's tremendous LDV Vans Trophy triumph at Northampton, the U's will have to be at their very best to beat newly-appointed Coventry boss Eric Black's First Division men tomorrow.
