A train from Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria was delayed for ten minutes yesterday after two girls were discovered playing on the track.
The 16.25 Great Eastern Railway train was the only one affected by the delay.
British Transport Police said they were investigating the incident, near Wickford, but they had not been able to trace the girls seen by a railway worker.
