Southend United reserves crashed to a dismal 2-0 defeat at Peterborough yesterday afternoon in another group fixture of the Pontin's Holiday Cup.
Goals from Adam Newton and substitute Adam Semple sealed victory for the Posh.
The result leaves the Shrimpers bottom of group B - much to the disappointment of Blues boss Steve Tilson.
"We weren't very good - Peterborough deserved to win and it was definitely a fair result," said the 37-year-old.
"I thought we were disappointing to be honest. We didn't play at all well and never got going.
"They could have won by three or four in the end if it wasn't for some fine saves from Carl Emberson."
