One half of a team that produces two tons of honey every year was behind a stall at the monthly Southend Farmers' Market yesterday.

Dick Thomas joined a dozen stallholders from all over south east England.
"I'm the bee man," he said. "It's my wife, Margaret, who makes the honey."
The Thomases have made the short journey from their home in Tyrone Road, Thorpe Bay, ever since the market started in October.
Originally set for a three-month trial, its fourth appearance has been judged a success.
A Southend Council spokesman said: "The markets run so far have been very popular. We have two more arranged, in February and March. Visitors and traders say what a difference to the atmosphere it makes."
