The families of six Colchester-based Red Caps killed in Iraq will be hearing today how investigations into their deaths are continuing.
The families have been invited to the private meeting with Military Police officials to keep them up to date into the investigation's progress.
The six men were killed at a siege at a police station at Al-Majar Al Kabir in southern Iraq after furious crowds turned on them.
The six men from Goojerat Barracks-based 156 Provost Company Royal Military Police were Corporal Paul Long, 24, whose widow Gemma is from Colchester; Sergeant Simon Hamilton-Jewell, 41, of Chessington, Surrey; Corporal Russell Aston, 30, of Derbyshire; Corporal Simon Miller, 21, of Washington, Tyne and Wear; Lance Corporal Ben Hyde, 23, of Northallerton, Yorks, and Lance Corporal Tom Keys, 20, of Llanuwchllyn, Wales.
