Essex are one of the clubs likely to be interested in trying to snap up Darren Gough after the bowler left Yorkshire.
England star Gough's release from his contract at his native county is set to spark a race to secure the fast bowler's signature.
Gough, 33, quit Headingley yesterday after 15 seasons and is seeking a new start with a county closer to his Milton Keynes home.
His availability is sure to interest Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and Middlesex, as well as Essex.
Yorkshire agreed to release Gough, having first been warned of his intention to spend more time with his children in November.
