Plans for the multi-million pound development of Mid Essex's super hospital have been unveiled in Maldon.
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust has been touring towns with an exhibition of the designs of the two preferred bidders for the £120million development of Broomfield Hospital, called Bid Y and Bid X.
After exhibitions at Chelmsford and Braintree, people in the Maldon area had their chance to view what was on offer in the town hall.
John Archer, chairman of Maldon District Council, was one of those to view the schemes.
He said: "Both of them have tremendous advantages and I think it is going to be a difficult decision for the Trust which one to go for. There are fors and against each proposal but they are certainly futuristic and what we need for the area."
