The problem of bullying is to be tackled by a drama workshop which will help teachers and pupils tackle the issue.
The London Bus Theatre Company will be holding sessions for local schools where they explore bullying through drama, games and role-play.
The theatre has also received a £3,103 cash boost from Southend Council and KeyMed to go on with their work in the area.
Katherine Austen, chairperson for the group, said: "There is a real need for this type of project.
"We are thrilled to receive this support from KeyMed and Southend Council as it will enable us to help many local people."
