A woman has spoken of her relief at having her kitten home safe and well after it was shot.
Lynn Curtis's kitten, Kimi, was shot between 9am and 9.45am on Sunday with an air gun in the Bailey Bridge Road area of Braintree.
The six-month-old kitten was operated on to remove the pellet, and allowed home on Monda morning after being kept in overnight at The Veterinary Practice, Millennium Way in Braintree.
Mrs Curtis, 42, said: "I am very relieved to have her home and pleased she is ok and it did not damage her heart or lungs, or fracture anything."
Mrs Curtis is offering a reward for information that leads to a conviction. Braintree police are appealing for anyone with information to ring them on 01376 551312
