A Braintree man has revealed his wife's attempt to pass her driving test was the reason he scooped a new car on an ITV show this week.
Now they're motoring - Sharon and Andy Burnett have won a car on a television gameshow Picture: SEANA HUGHES
Andy Burnett, of Sun Lido Square Garden, won a blue Rover Streetwise car after entering the competition on The Great British Driving Test: Men V Women.
Mr Burnett, who works for a paint firm, qualified for the draw by answering more than 30 questions correctly in the quiz about the driving theory test.
The 42-year-old revealed he answered all the questions correctly through text message because his wife, Sharon, is currently learning to drive.
Then after successfully being picked, he was asked a question live on air by presenter and DJ Neil Fox to win the car.
He revealed the question was on a subject he covered with his wife while practising the week before.
