Shrimpers co-owner Ron Martin is keen to add more maturity to a young Shrimpers side which currently sits precariously close to the Division Three drop zone.
"We have a very talented squad, but they're very young too and the balance maturity wise isn't what we would like," he said.
"Anyone who has played sport at a high level recognises maturity helps when the pressure is on and we need to add a few more older players to add to the youth we already have."
Martin admitted the Seasiders' lack of experience had contributed to the unexpected 1-0 FA Cup exit at the hands of Scarborough last Wednesday.
"The build up to the game was first class and the spirit was good, but perhaps the pressure was too much for them," he said.
"There wasn't a lack of pride, they certainly cared and the players were shattered both mentally and physically after the game."
