An 82-year-old woman, who uses a motorised scooter to get about, was robbed of her handbag on her doorstep.
The frail woman had just returned home from shopping when the male, described as white, aged between 20 and 30, snatched the bag from the front of her scooter and ran away.
The bag contained cash and a pension book. 96
The incident happened on Seabrooke Rise, Grays, at 2.25pm on Thursday.
According to Grays Police, the woman was left in shock.
