East Thurrock United are in grave danger of suffering a major fixture backlog after having their third home match called off in the space of eight days on Saturday.
The latest game to suffer due to the Rookery Hill pitch being unfit was the scheduled Ryman One North clash with Wingate and Finchley which followed the similar fate suffered by last week's league match with Leyton and the midweek Essex Senior Cup tie against Aveley.
Having played only 20 of their scheduled 46 Ryman games, Rocks are eight matches behind some of their rivals.
Heavy recent rain has waterlogged the Thurrock pitch with the part of the surface in front of the stand causing particular problems.
