Stunned Helen Wojcik stared in disbelief after a huge lump of ice crashed through her roof causing hundreds of pounds of damage.
The ice, believed to have fallen from a plane at about 8am today, smashed into Helen's home in Alma Close, Hadleigh, scattering roof tiles everywhere and damaging two cars.
The 45-year-old mum-of-two has now put buckets in her loft to stop rain pouring into her home.
She said: "I was amazed. I heard a huge crash and I nearly had a heart attack.
"I thought the chimney stack had fallen."
