Southend's multi-million pound Pier Hill transformation is on course for a summer opening.

Work is continuing on the biggest revamp in 40 years which will include a state-of-the-art lift carrying people from the seafront to the High Street.
The pedestrian bridge across the road has already made way for the new lifts.
