Motorists and residents are to have a say in shaping plans to develop the A13 in Thurrock.

The Highways Agency wants to hear from people who use the A13 and A1089 and was launching a public consultation period for its Route Management Strategy (RMS) today.

People can visit an exhibition to see the plans and have 12 weeks to make their comments.

PV Singham, Highways Agency project manager, said: "The RMS will look at the A13 and A1089 between the Greater London Authority boundary and the Port of Tilbury."

The development of RMS is separate from larger improvement schemes being considered for the area, including the improvements to the M25 and the proposed Shell Haven development.

Three exhibitions are taking place during early February:

Thursday, February 5, noon-7pm. Lakeside Shopping Centre, Ground Floor Plaza, Thurrock

Friday, February 6, 11am-5pm. Thameside Complex, Orsett Road, Grays

Saturday, February 7, 9am-1pm. Asda, Thurrock Parkway, Tilbury.
