Brave police officers in mid-Essex are to receive commendations for professionalism in their work.
The two sergeants and two PCs in the Chelmsford division will be recognised for their acts tomorrow.
These include talking a distressed man down from six-storey high scaffolding, rescuing a drunk woman from a river and discovering a body in a burning vehicle and helping with the investigation.
The four are Sgt Gary McNair, Sgt Lloyd Page and PC Nathan Suley, of Chelmsford, and PC Claire Adams, of South Woodham Ferrers.
PC Adams will be commended for her work after finding the body in a vehicle.
Sgt McNair was praised for negotiating with a man at a great height and getting him to come down despite various dangers, in June last year.
A drunk woman from Braintree was rescued from the River Chelmer in the same month by Sgt Lloyd Page and PC Nathan Suley.
