A lucky businessman who staked £30 on the races is celebrating a £34,000 windfall.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed the stake of a Lucky 15 accumulator at bookmaker Bobby Swift's Holland-on-Sea betting shop.
Linda Mead, who works at the shop, said: "We were all very pleased for him.
"When he rang up to check the result, he was very, very quiet and said he was going to hide it from his wife, but she found out."
The Clacton businessman, who is a regular punter, picked up his cheque for £34,528.46 on Monday.
The win is a record amount for the shop.
