Residents claim Basildon Council is ignoring their views on a controversial traffic-calming project.
Furious activists say the council wrote its recommendations for speed bumps in Northlands Park days before a public consultation process was due to end.

The row began when the council suggested speed restrictions on Felmores, Lanhams and Davenants.
Protesters on Davenants are in favour of speed restrictions but against plans to replace 20 parking spaces with double yellow lines.
Rob Hill, of Davenants, said: "The council seems to be trying to rush this proposal through before the end of its budget year in April."
A council spokesman said: "Residents have been given ample opportunity to comment on the proposals.
"There is still time for any comments to either be incorporated in the final report, which is to be submitted to members on January 22, or reported to them verbally."
