A clean and polished queen is waiting in the wings to make a victorious return to Colchester.
In October, the landmark statue of ancient warrior queen Boadicea was moved as the Northern Approaches road took shape.
The 16ft sculpture was taken away from the Asda roundabout by heavy lifting equipment for cleaning and polishing before being repositioned.
Now, with all the necessary paperwork in place, her return is imminent.
She will take up her new stance on the remodelled roundabout north of the railway station and will be lit from underneath at night.
Colchester Council's planning services manager Vincent Pearce said: "Boadicea will be returning very soon. I cannot give the exact date but I am advised it is imminent."
