A mother today paid tribute to her 35-year-old daughter who died of a rare heart disease.
Lisa Barclay was due to see a Harley Street specialist on the same day she was taken seriously ill at her Holland-on-Sea home.
Missed - Lisa Barclay, who was the first woman with her rare heart disease in the country to have a baby.
She was rushed to Colchester General Hospital by ambulance but was declared dead soon after arrival.
She had been ill for about eight weeks.
"Lisa was diagnosed with nine holes in her heart, a heart murmur, and an enlarged heart when she was a baby," said her mother, Ann Duffield.
"She had her first operation on her first birthday. But Lisa always lived life to the full and never let her condition get in her way.
"She never complained and was an exceptional person who will be sorely missed by many people."
Lisa continued to live her life and had a son, called Sam, who is 12.
Her funeral will be held at Burrs Road Chapel tomorrow at 2.45pm
