And one of the first to see the two separate proposals for the Chelmsford hospital was Braintree MP Alan Hurst

He said whatever project the Mid-Essex Hospital NHS Trust chose it would benefit the people of Braintree, Witham and surrounding areas and alleviate car parking problems for them.
"The major problem for people at the moment is spending half-an-hour looking for somewhere to park.
"If approved, there will be over-capacity and that's terribly important for people particularly when visiting relatives."
