Issues currently surrounding learning disabilities will be the topic of a conference to be held by Anglia Polytechnic University.
The sixth annual Essex Network Learning Disabilities Conference will be taking place on January 30.
Each year the conference provides a platform for individuals with learning disabilities, professionals across health and social care, plus families and carers.
Any individual or group associated with the learning disabled is welcome to add to the debate from their particular perspective.
This year's conference will tackle a variety of subjects including learning disabilities and mental health, mobile multi-sensory services and will look at a local project focusing on safety issues for the learning disabled.
More details about the event can be obtained by contacting John Lutchmiah on 01245 493131 ext 4759.
