Southend United supremo Ron Martin has labelled tomorrow's FA Cup replay with Scarborough as the Shrimpers' "biggest match for several years".

The Third Division strugglers visit the McCain Stadium knowing a victory would guarantee a huge fourth round pay day against either Watford or Premiership high flyers Chelsea.

And Martin admitted the Blues were fully aware of how important the showdown with the Seadogs could prove to be.

"Southend United and its management don't like to lose any game of football, but it's right to say tomorrow's game with Scarborough is a massive match," said the Seasiders co-owner.

"It's the biggest this club have played for several years."

Martin knows the cash-strapped Blues would receive a huge financial boost if Steve Tilson's side were to work their way past a spirited Scarborough, who forced a 1-1 draw at Roots Hall ten days ago.

"If we get through then a fourth round tie with either Chelsea or Watford would see us making between £400,000 and £500,000," revealed Martin.

"And that would mean we would end this year in profit."
