Ryman Premier Thurrock said goodbye to hopes of FA Trophy glory for another season with third round defeat at the Edgware home of Division One North Wealdstone on Friday night.
With strikers Cliff Akurang and Tresor Kandol giving the hosts plenty of problems, the former's far-post header gave Colin McBride's visitors the lead before Wealdstone clawed their way back.
Ben Alexander deflected Richard Jolly's cross home for the equaliser and Thurrock had to rely on Dave Collis heading a Danny Butler effort off the line with keeper Paul Gothard beaten.
Kandol, later to be dismissed for two bookings, put Thurrock back ahead when his shot was deflected home.
But Wealdstone were not to be denied. Alexander levelled again when he headed home after Gothard had been unable to hold a 20-yard driver from Tommy Williams.
Then Marvin Morgan won the game with a 25-yard strike.
