A doting wife today told how she feels cheated having paid out more than £50,000 on care for her disabled husband.
Doreen Curran, 68, foots a £900 bill every month to get help for spouse Derek, who was left unable to care for himself after a series of strokes five years ago.
Doreen, of Oakfield Road, Benfleet, feels he should get free health care and has got the support of MP Bob Spink who spoke of Derek's plight into the Commons last week.
