Treacherous conditions lead to two rescues at sea on the same day.

The first was a windsurfer who got into trouble on the River Blackwater near Osea Island at about 1.40pm.
West Mersea lifeboat, Bradwell Coastguard sector manager and the Wattisham rescue helicopter were all sent to the scene.
The man was picked up, uninjured, by the lifeboat and treated for the affects of cold by paramedics.
On their way back to shore the lifeboat team was called to a dinghy which capsized off Tollesbury.
A member of the public raised the alarm at about 2.40pm. A man and a woman were rescued by the lifeboat team and the woman had to be treated for hypothermia.
