James Milne has not seen his daughter since he left Southend 14 years ago.
Mr Milne, 63, who now lives in Boston, Lincolnshire, is hoping to track down Kirsty Harrington, who was previously living in Treecot Drive, Leigh.
He last saw his daughter in a pushchair outside Southend Central station with her mother, when she was just three-years-old. She'll now be 17.
Mr Milne said: "I'd just like to see a photo of her if nothing else. She comes from a big family and I'd like her to know that because if she had to turn to anybody we'd be here."
Kirsty, or her mother Susan, can phone Mr Milne on 01205 357283.
