A family was today growing increasingly concerned after a woman went missing while travelling in India
Angela Brown, 65, of Wivenhoe, has not been seen since last November after she boarded a train in Bombay. She arrived at her destination but there have been no sightings since.
Two of her sons, Greg and Robert Brisk, travelled to India to help search for their mother.
They tracked down other train passengers who said she arrived at Delhi but there the trail runs cold.
Greg Brisk said: "There has been no contact with any friends or family since then. She has not turned up at any hotels, it is a complete black hole.
"All we know is she got to Delhi. Her whole nature is to be friendly and chatty, and given it is a 17-hour train journey it is entirely likely she was on good terms by the end of the journey with fellow passengers."
The family have speculated that fellow passengers may have offered her hospitality, or she met a tout at the station offering a hotel or a tour.
