Thorpe Hall played a cross-country competition over ten holes in pairs with the best two-ball score winning.
The competition uses the whole course, but involves having to go in and out of bunkers, over ditches, over trees and using several fairways.
The winners, with a net score of 36 shots, were Brian Edwards and Chris Haylock, closely followed by Alistair Faulds and Peter McCarthy with 37 shots.
The first of the January Stablefords was held with cadet Matt Southgate leading the field with Division One field 38 points, off five.
However, the winner, with 37 points off seven, was Neil Harper with 37 points. He was followed by Howard Lawrie with 36.
