Tony Cross should be confident of getting his Great Wakering Rovers managerial career off to a winning start tomorrow.
Club officials are hoping that Cross' appointment in place on Alan Hull will lead to renewed enthusiasm among fans and a large gate for the Ryman Division One North relegation "six pointer" at home to Enfield.
Wakering are currently third from bottom while visitors Enfield are a place below and have lost four matches on the trot including a disastrous 7-1 home defeat by Uxbridge on Monday night.
Due to financial problems Enfield started the season late and had another enforced break a month or so back.
Consequently, they've played only 18 of their season's total of 46 games - eight fewer than tomorrow's hosts who are seven points clear.
In stark contrast to Enfield's struggles, Cross takes over a Wakering team who have enjoyed two of their best results of the season in recent weeks - wins at Dunstable and Boreham Wood.
