A high-profile meeting to tackle Castle Point's vandalism and youth nuisance problem has been planned.
More than 70 members of the borough's crime reduction partnership will be gathering in Thundersley on Wednesday, January 14, to develop an action plan on how to beat the problem.
The gathering will bring together police, councillors, headteachers, businessmen and a magistrate.
Castle Point Council's Labour leader Dave Blackwell said: "I will be there and I will be saying my piece.
"Now is the time to start taking action rather than just talking - we've had so many meetings and conferences but we don't seem to be getting anywhere."
