A headteacher from Braintree has been one of a handful of people selected to help shape Government policy.
Roger Abo Henriksen, headteacher at Tabor High School, travelled to Downing Street yesterday to meet Prime Minister Tony Blair.
He was part of a hand-picked group of people from all over the country who were being asked to give their views on how services are provided for children.
Those chosen to give advice were a mixture of education professionals, young people, parents and people working with children in voluntary organisations.
The meeting was part of the Government's Big Conversation programme, designed to quiz people about their views on major issues.
The session was focused on education and how to improve the provision of services for children and their families.
