It is currently covered in scaffolding but the man behind the restoration of a 600-year-old shop believes it will be the "prettiest building" in Southend.

Work has been going on at the old Carlton bakery in Victoria Avenue, Southend, for the past three years.
The medieval building, which was devasted by fire in the past, dates back to 1407 and has been renovated and restored by Malcolm Ginsberg and his company Rochford Hall Ltd.
Mr Ginsberg, whose company is also behind the recent Angel pub restoration in Shoebury, said: "It is an exciting building and very unique. It used to be a medieval shop with a market hall above.
"It will be by far the prettiest building in the town and within a month's time it will be unveiled."
