Thurrock go into rare Friday night action later hoping that this latest excursion will prove equally successful as the last.
On that occasion Colin McBride's men played on Friday at home in the FA Cup against Luton to satisfy SkySport TV cameras.
Thurrock pulled off a great draw and were rated unlucky not to win before being KO'd by the Nationwide League Division Two side in a replay.
Tonight's affair does not have such glamour about it. The date is an FA Trophy third round tie and Thurrock's hosts are Division One North Wealdstone.
Reason for the Friday date is that Wealdstone have no home of their own and play their games at Edgware Town's ground. Their landlords have a home Division Two match tomorrow, leaving Wealdstone with the Friday date.
