Southend libraries have teamed up with Club 60 to to put on a week-long display about services for pensioners.
On two days next week, specialist staff will be on hand at Club 60 headquarters in Queensway House, Essex Street, to talk about library services for the over 60s.
Services on offer include:
The Home Library Service to housebound residents and carers
A range of postal cassette and CD services
The free mobile library service to residential homes
Free internet, e-mail and word processing facilities at all Southend libraries
LIFE - a local clubs and information database
DVDs, videos, language courses, talking books and music CDs.
Library staff will give advice to people at Club 60 on Monday, January 12, between 10am and 2pm and Friday, January 16, between 11am and 1pm.
