An 11-week old baby boy has been injured in a road rage incident.
It took place in Clacton yesterday evening and police are appealing for witnesses.
Inspector Richard Day, of Clacton police, said: "At about 8.20pm last night there was a road rage incident in St Osyth Road."
He said the car in which the baby was being driven, a blue R-registration Vauxhall Vectra, was overtaken by a silver Mercedes as it drove along St Osyth Road.
"Both cars stopped, the driver of the Mercedes got out and smashed the window of the other vehicle," he added.
The baby, who was in the front passenger seat of the Vauxhall, suffered minor cuts to the face and neck. He was taken to Colchester General Hospital for treatment.
Clacton police say anyone who saw the incident should ring them on 01255 221312
