A hundred-year-old mansion has been converted into one of the biggest nurseries in Southend after a £750,000 loan from a leading banking corporation.
Kevin and Elizabeth Webb bought Oak House in Wimborne Road last year and it is now ready to open its doors.
Bank of Scotland Corporate Banking, which arranged the loan, was chosen because of the working relationship its owners have with the bank's new business director, Jon Sedgwick.
The 6,000sq ft building has four play areas, each for a different age group, with the latest play equipment and room for 87 children from newborn babies to eight year olds.
