Is there a nurse worth nominating or a surgeon worth suggesting?
This is the question Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust is asking patients as it launches its VIP Awards.
Nominations for the annual Value in Practice awards are put forward by mid Essex hospital patients and recognise outstanding care and treatment from a member of staff.
Patients are now being asked to send in their nominations.
The Trust employs more than 3,600 people at six different sites in mid Essex, these are Broomfield Hospital, St John's Hospital and the Chelmsford and Essex Centre in Chelmsford, William Julien Courtauld and St Michael's in Braintree and St Peter's in Maldon.
Staff from all departments, clinical and non-clinical, at any of the sites can be nominated, not only by a patient or visitor but by their manager or a colleague.
Nominations should include the name of the person being proposed, their department or ward and the reason for their nomination, as well as the nominee's name and contact details.
They should be sent to Nikki Airey, staff communication manager, Broomfield Court, Broomfield Hospital, Court Road, Chelmsford, CM1 7WE, or e-mail nikki.airey@ meht.nhs.uk by February 12
