The writers behind the vfestival.info website put together a wish-list of bands they'd most like to see at V2004...
Perhaps not everyone's favourite choices but almost certainly there's something in here to perk the interest of even the most cynical festival-goer.
Blur - local lads with the talent and back catalogue of tunes to make most bands weep. Just about something for everyone from Song 2 and Parklife to the more recent material on Think Tank. I defy you not to be moved.
Robbie Williams - Huge stage presence, sing a long songs, polished entertainer guaranteed to get the crowd going. A bonafide popstar.
Chemical Brothers - Dance as it should be loud, fast and as much energy as any human can handle.
White Stripes - One of the biggest bands in the world one of the most popular albums of 2003. Jack and Meg have borrowed the best of the past to make one of the more influential groups of recent years.
Paul Weller - One of the most enduring talents in British music still teaching the next great talents a thing or two.
Foo Fighters - Headed by Dave 'nicest man in rock' Grohl the Foos have produced some of the catchiest rock tunes of recent years.
Eminem - He turned the world of rap upside down, controversial, opinionated, and lyrically outstanding. In an industry which has been content to churn out Pop-wannabe boy bands and bland producer-led projects he's the perfect antidote.
