A new deal with Basildon Council means Raw Glass Ltd will collect the leftovers from Friday and Saturday nights on the town and recycle them.
The latest initiative from the council is an attempt to solve the unsightly and sometimes dangerous problem of broken glass on the streets.
Raw Glass founder and managing director Andrew Wong said: "They recognised we have developed an expertise in handling glass and in the whole recycling process and could offer a very cost-effective service.
"Broken bottles can now become an asset rather than an eyesore and a menace."
The new contract sets the seal on a fast-growing debut year for the company.
Set up in May 2003, Raw Glass specialises in the collection of used bottles from pubs, clubs and restaurants. The redundant glassware is then carted to a plant in Harlow for recycling. The service is free.
