Determined Daisy, of Leighfields Avenue, Eastwood, battled back after more than six hours of surgery to remove the tumour and is now halfway through her course of chemotherapy.
Daisy's parents are now launching a £10,000 appeal to thank Southend and Great Ormond Street hospitals for saving her.
Mum George Locker, 35, said: "When we found out it was a tumour we were absolutely devastated.
"That sort of thing just doesn't happen to you. But when the surgeon announced he had been able to remove the whole tumour, George said the worst day in her life turned into "probably the best".
