Motorists face at least another decade of snarl-ups at the busiest roundabout in the county, it was confirmed today.
However they can look forward to £32million being injected into major improvements to the Sadlers Farm roundabout - but not before 2013.
Plans to prevent increased traffic congestion at the notorious junction include a possible flyover or connecting road between the A13 and the A130 North.
The improvements form part of the South Essex study, a 15-year-plan to help improve roads in the county.
It was today confirmed that work on the junction, which will take at least two years, will not start before 2011.
But Essex County Council is to continue talks with the Department of Transport about what is the right solution.
