Shirley Scammell said Janet Duke Infant School, Markhams Close, Laindon, was targeted by the hooligans on two occasions between Christmas Eve and Monday.
Mrs Scammell said: "Like all heads, you hope to start the term with everyone in a good mood and with a spring in your step but this just dampens your spirit."
In the first incident three windows were smashed costing the school £500 in repair costs.
About £300 worth of damage was caused on the second occasion when four panes of glass were broken.
Anyone with information should call Basildon Police Station on 01268 532212.
