The Browning Wickford Angling Centre team stole the show at Sunday's Gloucester Park Open.

Not only did Frank Thomas take a clear win with a 26lb 7oz haul, but his team-mates filled the next three places - with his own son taking fourth spot - on a day of dominance for the Wickford club.

Frank was pegged in the middle of the big bay where he started the match using a quivertip and trout pellet baits.

These tactics rewarded him with carp of 8lb 11oz and 13lb 2oz before he switched to a pole for the final hour of the match.

This produced a number of quality roach for a further 4lb 10oz.

Fellow Browning man Simon Colclough took second place with a 23lb 5oz 8dr pole haul from the cockle bank.

Simon fished caster to include four bream in an otherwise all-roach catch.

Peter Steward fished the incoming canal to add further to the team's winnings -- weighing in a 21lb 11oz 8dr third-place haul.

Peter also fished a pole to land numerous quality roach and a single chub.

Peter Thomas, son of winner Frank, made it a virtual clean sweep for the team weighing in a 17lb 10oz 8dr fourth place section-winning haul.

Peter fished the cockle bank using a pole and caster to take his all-roach catch.
