Chelmsford-based Choo Choo is already looking to expand to Witham and Colchester stations.
Described as a new concept, the business will supply pre-ordered meals, freshly prepared on the day, for commuters.
The dinners are cooked by chefs at a site in Shoeburyness and then taken to the train station ready and waiting to be picked up by the customer.
For £5 each, a customer can have peppered mackerel in a Portuguese tomato sauce, trout filled with horseradish and black pepper sauce or mussel and prawn Spanish curry.
Choo Choo managing director Michael Walker said: "We want to have 20 units up and running in Essex by the end of the year. We went in very low key for the pilot to see how it went.
"We will consider all stations if there is a big enough demand."
