Yobs hurled bricks and stones smashing 132 windows of buildings in the park including the ranger's bungalow.
Council workmen have now boarded up the windows.
Southend Council recreation officer Paul Jenkinson said: "Any vandalism is annoying because it effects the facilities to our residents.
"The people who were responsible had to climb over fences which are 6ft high." Anyone with information is asked to call Southend police on 01702 431212.
