Controversial plans to site a new cement mixing company in Benfleet are still on hold.
Castle Point Council said it was still waiting for a traffic assessment to help decide the scheme from RMC Readymix looking to build the plant on the Manor Trading Estate.
Councillors have already visited the site but still need to look at more information before the issue comes back before the planning committee.
The council has received 68 letters of objection from residents.
There were concerns if the site was given the go-ahead, it could be for a 24-hour operation, with vehicles making 70 journeys to and from the site every day.
